From the previous posts, we can understand the following:
- What is Al-Quran?
The Quran is the divine revelation from Allah, containing His word (Kalam) conveyed to humanity. It is a guide and light that provides the path to faith and righteous living. It is also referred to as Ruhan (spirit) and Amrina (our command), conveyed through Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), who did not initially know the Book or faith until Allah revealed it to him. - How is Guidance Communicated?
The guidance is communicated through multiple means, as explained in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:185) and Surah Ash-Shu’ara (51-52):- Inspiration –
- Behind a veil –
- Through a messenger-angel –
- Allah’s permission –
- The Quran as a light – جَعَلْنَـٰهُ نُورًۭ guiding whom Allah wills.
The most crucial point is that without the guidance from the Quran, humanity would never know Allah’s message or the true faith that He has endorsed. Therefore, it is imperative to obey what Allah has commanded and consistently refer to the verses within the Quran for direction.
In short, every Muslim must strive to acquire comprehensive knowledge of the Quran to the best of their ability. It is not enough to simply believe in the Quran; one must act upon its commandments. On Fridays, the Khatib (the one delivering the sermon) on the Mimbar (elevated platform) constantly reminds and encourages every Muslim to recite, reflect upon, and understand the Quran as a source of guidance throughout their lives, using the best of one’s efforts (Ijtihad).
Al Jumu’ah – The Congregation, Friday (62:5)
The example of those who were entrusted with ˹observing˺ the Torah but failed to do so, is that of a donkey carrying books. How evil is the example of those who reject Allah’s signs! For Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

Reciting and reading the Quran without understanding places a person in the same position as the people of the Book (Bani Israel). It is like the parable of the donkey carrying books but failing to comprehend what it bears. This analogy demonstrates Allah’s wrath upon those entrusted with the Torah who did not adhere to what Allah had ordained.
It is unfathomable for someone to claim sincere faith in the Quran yet remain ignorant of its content. What kind of faith does such an individual possess?
Indeed, it is bewildering!
How does that individual act upon their faith and carry out their deeds?
Do their actions align with the guidance of Allah and His Messenger, with a clear conscience, based on what is stated in the Quran and Hadith, to the best of their ability?
This is taqlid—the unquestioning acceptance and following of another’s legal rulings without understanding the basis of those decisions. We urge you, dear reader, to make every effort to read, recite, and seek understanding of the Quran, increasing your knowledge. This is not something to boast about or to show off; rather, it is about sincerely practicing Allah’s commands to the best of your ability. Do not limit your focus to just gaining reward for reading and reciting.
Al Isra – The Night Journey (17:9)
Surely this Quran guides to what is most upright, and gives good news to the believers—who do good—that they will have a mighty reward.

Eliminate the ignorant mindset and reflect on this matter with the utmost care. There is no intention to undermine the earnest and dedicated efforts of the ulama who have worked tirelessly to educate us. In fact, Allah commands that every Muslim must ensure their intentions and speech align with their actions, all based on the guidance of the Quran, which leads to the Straight Path. This alignment is essential for authentic faith and practice, as only through the Quran can one truly walk in the direction that Allah has ordained.
(17:36)
Do not follow what you have no ˹sure˺ knowledge of. Indeed, all will be called to account for ˹their˺ hearing, sight, and intellect.

We will comprehensively discuss about the Messenger’s (Peace Be Upon Him) mission and actions which are also Wahyu as commanded by Allah in the near future, (InshAllah, Allah’s will).
