أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
The Prophets (21:91)
وَٱلَّتِىٓ أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَـٰهَا وَٱبْنَهَآ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ٩١
And ˹remember˺ the one who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her through Our angel, ˹Gabriel,˺ making her and her son a sign for all peoples.

This verse directs the Messenger Muhammad ﷺ to convey to his people the remarkable narrative of the pious lady who maintained perfect chastity and self-restraint. Through the Angel Jibra’il (Gabriel) (عليه السلام), breathed into her womb, resulting in the miraculous birth of her son, the Messenger Isa (ʿĪsā) (PBUH).
Maryam – Mary (19:22-26)
19:22
۞ فَحَمَلَتْهُ فَٱنتَبَذَتْ بِهِۦ مَكَانًۭا قَصِيًّۭا ٢٢
So she conceived him and withdrew with him to a remote place.
19:23
فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَـٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسْيًۭا مَّنسِيًّۭا ٢٣
Then the pains of labour drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She cried, “Alas! I wish I had died before this, and was a thing long forgotten!”
19:24
فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحْتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحْزَنِى قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّۭا ٢٤
So a voice reassured her from below her, “Do not grieve! Your Lord has provided a stream at your feet.
19:25
وَهُزِّىٓ إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ تُسَـٰقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًۭا جَنِيًّۭا ٢٥
And shake the trunk of this palm tree towards you, it will drop fresh, ripe dates upon you.
19:26
فَكُلِى وَٱشْرَبِى وَقَرِّى عَيْنًۭا ۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ ٱلْبَشَرِ أَحَدًۭا فَقُولِىٓ إِنِّى نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ صَوْمًۭا فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِنسِيًّۭا ٢٦
So eat and drink, and put your heart at ease. But if you see any of the people, say, ‘I have vowed silence to the Most Compassionate, so I am not talking to anyone today.’”

The Arabic term “انتَبَذَتْ” (intabadhat) derives from the root “نَبَذ” (nabadha), which fundamentally signifies the act of casting away or discarding something. In its reflexive form as used in the Qur’anic verse, “انتَباَذَ” (intabadha) conveys the deliberate action of withdrawing oneself from others—essentially, removing oneself from communal presence to seek solitude.
Ali “Imran – Family of Imran (3:59)
إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَىٰ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ ءَادَمَ ۖ خَلَقَهُۥ مِن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ ٥٩
Indeed, the example of Jesus in the sight of Allah is like that of Adam. He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be!” And he was!

The Quran eloquently addresses this very point: “Indeed, the example of the Messenger Isa (Jesus) (PBUH) to Allah is like that of the Messenger Adam (Adam) (PBUH). He created him from dust; then He said to him, ‘Be!’ and he was. This divine perspective establishes that both prophets were created beings, miraculous in their origins but servants of Allah rather than divine themselves.
This rational argument demonstrates that the exceptional nature of the Messenger Isa’s (Jesus’) (PBUH) birth, while indeed miraculous, cannot logically support claims of his divinity without simultaneously requiring the same conclusion about the Messenger Adam (Adam) (PBUH)—a position that even Christians themselves do not maintain.
