Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jizya (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it.” Abu Huraira added “If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): — ‘And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) Before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness Against them.” (4.159) (See Fath-ul-Bari, Page 302 Vol 7)

The conversation Between Allah and The Messenger Isa (Jesus) (PBUH)
Al-Ma’Idah — The Table Spread (5:116-118)
5:116
And ˹on Judgment Day˺ Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you ever ask the people to worship you and your mother as gods besides Allah?” He will answer, “Glory be to You! How could I ever say what I had no right to say? If I had said such a thing, you would have certainly known it. You know what is ˹hidden˺ within me, but I do not know what is within You. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Knower of all unseen.
5:117
I never told them anything except what You ordered me to say: “Worship Allah—my Lord and your Lord!” And I was witness over them as long as I remained among them. But when You took me, You were the Witness over them—and You are a Witness over all things.
5:118
If You punish them, they belong to You after all. But if You forgive them, You are surely the Almighty, All-Wise.”

The Messenger Isa (Jesus) (PBUH) is a clear and unwavering advocate of Tawhid, the absolute Oneness of Allah.
In the verses 116-118 as a whole, Allah presents a powerful scene from the Day of Judgement. In verse 116, Allah will ask the Messenger Isa (Jesus) (PBUH): “Did you tell the people, ‘Take me and my mother as gods besides Allah’?”
The Messenger Isa (Jesus) (PBUH) will declare his innocence, saying, “Glory be to You! I could never say what I had no right to say. If I had said such a thing, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, but I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, You alone are the Knower of the unseen.” This exchange is not for Allah’s knowledge-He is All-Knowing-but serves as a testimony for all creation that Isa (Jesus) (PBUH) never called for divinity, and that he is free from the false beliefs attributed to him by later generations.
He Affirms Tawhid
In verse 117, the Messenger Isa (Jesus) (PBUH) continues, affirming that he only conveyed what Allah commanded: “Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” He was a witness over his people while he was among them, but after Allah took him فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِي, Allah alone was the Watcher over them. This phrase does not deny Isa’s (PBUH) ascension to the heavens; rather, it refers to the period after he was raised up and before his return and natural death, as clarified in other Quranic verses and authentic narrations.
Finally, in verse 118, the Messenger Isa (Jesus) (PBUH) submits the fate of his people to Allah’s perfect wisdom and justice: “If You punish them, they are Your servants; but if You forgive them, You are the Almighty, the Wise.” These verses collectively affirm the Messenger Isa (Jesus) (PBUH)’s servitude, the oneness of Allah, and the ultimate accountability of all people before their Lord.
He Rejects Shirk
This testimony from the Messenger Isa (Jesus) (PBUH) is a direct rejection of shirk, including the Christian doctrine of the Trinity and any claim of divinity for himself or his mother. He affirms his role as a servant and messenger, not as a partner or equal to Allah. Instead, he calls people to worship Allah alone, declaring, “Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord,” which is the essence of Tawhid.
The Qur’an repeatedly emphasises that the Messenger Isa (Jesus) (PBUH) never claimed divinity, and that associating partners with Allah is the gravest sin, one that Allah will not forgive if a person dies upon it. The Messenger Isa (Jesus) (PBUH) will stand as a witness against those who ascribed divinity to him, making it clear that true salvation lies only in affirming the Oneness of Allah and rejecting all forms of shirk.
